Exploring the old quarter of Getaria we can dive into the history of our country, by reading the panels on the walls. Then, if you want to spend some fun time linked to its history, you can enjoy the Elcano escape room.

The course of the Orio river offers a flat and pleasant walking path. In addition, this walk has numerous parks for children. With a little luck, you might get to see the rowers of Orio training on the river. The walk ends next to the beach, in a green field where you can have lunch or a snack. The adjacent bars also offer the opportunity of having a bite to eat.
The old quarter of the 18th century breathes history. Visit the Santiago de Compostela Interpretation Centre, and top if off walking on the comfortable route to Itxaspe mountain. The route ends at the beach, a good place to rest taking a swim in summer; or with a placid thalassotherapy session in winter, in the Hotel & Thalasso Villa Antilla.
Enjoy the pintxos of Zarautz in the best atmosphere. Take a pintxo walk and check out the extensive variety offered by the bars, get to know the excellent local atmosphere and dive right into it. Within the extensive range of pintxos, don’t forget to try the pintxo called «Toldotxo». It’s a splendid pintxo prepared in collaboration with the Arguiñano family.

Made up of a 11.7 kilometre circuit surrounding the municipality. The route takes three and a half hours and is adapted for pedestrians offering the chance to enjoy the stunning scenery with your family, among friends or on your own, crossing, among others, the Iñurritza biotope, the Igerain and Mutxio parks, the Gárate-Santa Bárbara Natura 2000 Network spaces, plus the beach and its surroundings.

An open air museum, next to the sea. In no other place can you see such an extensive sculptural work, with the sea as a backdrop. On the beach as well as on the waterfront, feeling the gentle breeze coming off the sea, observing the sculptural works as you walk along. In addition, you can find sigificant works such as this throughout Zarautz, in its streets and plazas.

Offering the possibiity of discovering the geological heritage of Zumaia and explore the interpreted routes on foot as well as by boat, in addition to offering the opportunity to discover and enjoy the advantages salt water contributes to our health.
One of Zumaia’s most renowned heritages is geological. It’s one of the main reasons it is located within the Geopark of the Basque Coast, since it is one of the best places in the world to learn about the history of the Earth globally.
During the pedestrian walk, we propose that you bear in mind the recommendations given to respect the environment on the beach as well as on the boat crossings and, if possible, take advantage of the opportunity to undertake actions to minimize the influence of damages caused by others (for example, as well as not littering the walk and the beach, picking up the litter that others have left behind).
