VISIT THE WORKROOM AND TASTE PRODUCTS FROM GETARIA

If you like canned fish in particular, don’t miss this visit. We’ll tell you how we prepare anchovies in salt, marinated anchovies, mackerel, etc. in our small workroom in Getaria.

You will discover the manual work required to prepare anchovy fillets in salt, and if you’re feeling bold, you can prepare the anchovy fillet you’ll be eating afterwards yourself.

THE ZEST OF TXAKOLÍ AMONG FAMILY

This family winery has the Txakolí de Getaria Denomination of Origin and opens its doors to show its vineyards and day-to-day activity. An appropriate tour for the family.

The tour includes the history of the winery and the txakolí winemaking process. The children will carry out the visit accompanied by the comic “Tumatxa”. At the end of the visit there is a tasting of local products and txakolí.

Learn about the world of cider and the history of Satxota. This family cider house prepares its cider in its cider press, bottles it and sells it all year round. Along with the cider house menu that it offers, the “txotx” and a visit to its facilities are a rich and pleasant experience.

In the past the “baserritarras” (farmers) would bring their leftovers to the market, however they now prepare their products for sale. Come and discover our market!

THE ZEST OF TXAKOLÍ IN AIA

In Aia the doors of many wineries are open, for visiting the winery and vineyards and learn about their day-to-day activity. A special and friendly visit. And, of course, a tasting of pintxos and txakolí.

The work and history will be made clear during our visit to one of the family wineries located within the C.R.D.O. txakolí de Getaria denomination, pintxo and txakolí tasting in the winery.

Standard visit: a visit to the vineyard and winery (while the project and work are explained) and a tasting of two wines (KPilota and K5), accompanied by local products.

Come, look and learn all the secrets to preparing red snapper Orio style, from the master chefs of our grills. An unforgettable experience: its background and the intricacies of this recipe, the aromas, flavours, and of course, a chance to taste the red snapper along with a txakolí.

TXOTX EXPERIENCE

Strolling through the apple orchard we will learn the work performed on the apple trees; as well as the type of apple planted and tools used to determine when to harvest. Followed by the apple’s development process until it turns into cider. The visit ends with a small tasting of local products and cider straight from the cask.

ARRAUNPOTE

When have you gone out rowing to eat a few pintxos? Leaving from Arraunetxe to the town plaza. Have two pintxos and two drinks in the nearby bars, then row to another bar, and have another bite. Back to Arraunetxe on a big SUP. It’s a dynamic activity. Games are organised in the plaza and in the water for all ages.
