Zarautz has an attractive variety of things to do. It also has some charming and lesser-known spots worth visiting. One of these is the market. The centre of the market building dating back to 1903 boasts the colourful fruit, vegetable and flower harvest of local producers. The covered counters down the sides are filled with deli produce, cheeses, meats, fish, fruit and flowers.
There are tomatoes, pulses, peppers, spinach, lettuce, onions, potatoes, garlic, leeks, carrots, cauliflowers, squashes, cabbages, beans, peas… All produce is seasonal. These items are the greatest ambassadors of our town and our local region, and you’ll find all these are more in the Zarautz Market.
